Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Co. (SALIC), a company owned by the Public Investment Fund, announced the merger of the Continental Farmers Group into Olam Agri.
The move aims to strengthen integration across its global agricultural investments and expand its commercial, operational, and logistics capabilities.
The integration is expected to bolster Continental Farmers’ access to global markets by leveraging Olam Agri’s network and its operational and commercial expertise, thereby supporting business growth and long-term expansion, the company said in a statement.
This step is part of SALIC’s strategy to strengthen integration among the companies in its investment portfolio and connect its global assets to create greater added value. This will also support growth opportunities for Continental Farmers and reinforce its position as one of the leading agricultural companies in Ukraine.
According to data available with Argaam, SALIC increased its stake in Olam Agri Holdings to 80.01% in April 2026 after acquiring an additional stake for approximately SAR 7 billion.
SALIC previously acquired two Ukrainian agricultural companies and merged them by the end of 2018 under the name Continental Farmers Group.
Continental Farmers manages approximately 200,000 hectares of agricultural land in western Ukraine, operates storage facilities with a capacity of nearly 630,000 tons, and produces more than 1 million tons of grain annually.
