Riyadh city
Riyadh Municipality, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, and the National Center for Privatization and PPP announced the launch of the expression of interest, qualification, and proposal submission phase for a joint land investment project to develop a plot in the municipality’s northern Riyadh sector in partnership with the private sector under a 50-year agreement.
The project is the first to be launched by the municipality under the joint investment model with the private sector, according to an official statement from Riyadh Municipality.
The project aims to involve the private sector in designing, building, operating, and maintaining all facilities on the site, located on Zaid bin Asim Street in a strategic location covering 30,000 square meters.
The flexibility of urban planning regulations allows for the development of multiple-use assets, including residential, commercial, office, and entertainment activities, to create high-quality projects that meet growing demand and serve the needs of the community and local residents, while supporting Riyadh’s urban infrastructure, the statement added.
The organizing entities invited investors, financial institutions, and local and international operators to visit the investor portal on the National Center for Privatization and PPP’s website for further information and to request the project document. The invitation is open until February 3, 2027.
The municipality noted that the project is part of its strategy to improve the management of municipal assets, expand private-sector participation in urban development, and attract high-quality investments, supporting sustainable urban development and keeping pace with Riyadh’s rapid growth.
