RIYADH — The Embassy of Yemen in Riyadh has clarified that Yemeni citizens, who are residing in Saudi Arabia and holding valid passports, are not required to obtain temporary travel documents to benefit from the royal decree on regularizing their status. The embassy stressed the importance of booking an appointment through the Absher platform and visiting the passport office in the nearest region to complete the required procedures for regularizing status. The clarification followed the embassy’s announcement of the launch of the initial online registration phase for those wishing to benefit from the royal decree, through the official websites of the embassy and the consulate general. The embassy explained that the initial registration phase is intended to collect and register the details of applicants seeking to benefit from the decree, paving the way for the completion of review and verification procedures and the issuance of the necessary travel documents to regularize their status, in accordance with the approved regulations, controls, and instructions. The embassy urged those concerned to complete the electronic registration form accurately, provide all required information, attach any available supporting documents, and select the appropriate region for completing the procedures. Applicants were also instructed to print the temporary registration document and the accompanying guide and retain both for presentation when requested. The embassy emphasized that completing the online form constitutes only a preliminary registration step and does not imply acceptance, approval, or completion of the status regularization process. It further noted that online registration enables applicants to obtain an appointment to visit their selected center. Applicants must appear before the relevant committees at the scheduled time to complete the review and verification procedures and obtain the temporary document, in accordance with the established regulations, controls, and instructions. The embassy underscored the importance of entering information accurately and ensuring the validity of all submitted details and attached documents, affirming that applicants bear full responsibility for the accuracy of the information and documentation they provide.
