Raed Al-Naeem, CEO of AYYAN Investment Co.

Raed Al-Naeem, CEO of AYYAN Investment Co., attributed the losses incurred during Q2 2026 primarily to the fair value revaluation of certain investments through profit or loss, noting that they are non-cash, unrealized losses that do not reflect actual cash outflows from the company.

He told Al Ekhbariya TV that the fair value depreciation was due to market price volatility during the period, stressing that it does not reflect any material change in the financial fundamentals of the investee companies.

AYYAN, according to Al-Naeem, is proceeding with the implementation of its strategy through 2030 by pursuing selective investment opportunities under a cautious, risk-aligned approach aimed at supporting sustainable earnings growth and delivering returns for the company and its shareholders.

He explained that the board’s capital cut recommendation aims to improve investment efficiency and capital utilization as part of a capital restructuring strategy, without impacting the company’s ability to seize future investment opportunities.

AYYAN is working to diversify its investment portfolio and distribute risk, said the CEO, noting that its current investments are concentrated in the Saudi healthcare and financial sectors.

According to Argaam’s data, AYYAN logged losses of SAR 87.2 million in H1 2026, against SAR 385.2 million in profit during the same period in 2025. Losses for the second quarter amounted to SAR 119.2 million.
