Morabaha Marina Financing Co. (MRNA) said on Sept. 2 it had completed a capital increase at its subsidiary, Digital Payments Co. (Loop), raising its capital to SAR 49.375 million from SAR 19.5 million.

The SAR 29.875 million increase represents a 153.21% rise, MRNA said in a statement to Tadawul.

The capital increase procedures were completed, and Loop’s amended capital was registered on Aug. 17, the company said. The increase aims to strengthen Loop’s financial position, support its operational needs, and fund its future plans.

MRNA contributed SAR 23.9 million to the increase, maintaining its 80% stake in Loop after the transaction.

The capital increase will not affect MRNA’s ownership stake in Loop, while its impact will be reflected in the company’s consolidated financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards, MRNA said.
