JEDDAH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman have sent separate messages of condolence to Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani following the death of former Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.In his message, King Salman said he learned of Sheikh Hamad’s passing with deep sorrow, describing the former emir as a leader who “gave much to his country and his people.”The King extended his heartfelt condolences and sympathy to Sheikh Tamim, the Al Thani family, and the people of Qatar, praying that Allah grant the late emir His mercy and forgiveness, admit him into Paradise, and bestow patience and comfort upon his family.Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also expressed his deep sadness over the passing of the former Qatari ruler, saying Sheikh Hamad played a prominent role in Qatar’s development and prosperity.The Crown Prince conveyed his sincere condolences to Sheikh Tamim and the late emir’s family, praying that Allah grant Sheikh Hamad eternal mercy, reward him for his service to his country and people, and protect Qatar and its leadership.
