DURBAN — Gunmen killed 11 people and wounded three others in a late-night shooting at a home in South Africa’s eastern KwaZulu-Natal province, local media reported Wednesday.The shooting occurred in KwaMakhutha township, south of Durban, with a pregnant woman among those killed, South African television channel eNCA reported.Ten people died at the scene, while another victim succumbed to injuries while being transported to hospital.The victims had gathered inside a residential property when unidentified gunmen stormed the premises and opened fire shortly before 11 p.m. local time (2100 GMT) on Tuesday.Before fleeing, the attackers set fire to a vehicle belonging to the homeowner.The motive for the attack remains unknown.Authorities have not announced any arrests or identified suspects in connection with the shooting.
