According to a statement, GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi said the decision was prompted by continued attempts by the terrorist Houthi militia to target Saudi Arabia and its civilian facilities, threatening the safety and security of civilians. He added that the decision also followed the extension of the suspension of operations at King Khalid International Airport and was taken to ensure the safety of participating delegations.
