RIYADH — The Ministry of Commerce announced that more than 12 million discounted products are being offered by commercial establishments and online stores on the occasion of Saudi National Day, covering all types of consumer goods. The ministry has issued more than 3,500 discount licenses to commercial establishments and online stores. Each license enables an establishment to offer discounts at all its branches and points of sale. Consumers can verify the legality and validity of the discounts by scanning the barcode of the unified electronic code displayed on the discount license using a mobile phone camera. The scan displays all information related to the discounts, including the type and percentage of the discounts, their duration, and the establishment’s details. The ministry noted that it continues to inspect establishments and stores across all regions of the Kingdom to verify compliance with discount regulations and requirements.
