RIYADH — The Ministry of Commerce has carried out more than 23,000 preventive inspection tours in Makkah, Madinah, the miqats, roads leading to the Two Holy Mosques, and the holy sites since the beginning of Dhul Qada, corresponding to April 19, as part of its inspection plan for Hajj 2026. The tours aimed to enhance consumer protection, regulate markets, and ensure the availability of food supplies.The tours covered commercial establishments in the central area, retail outlets at Al-Juhfah Miqat, Yalamlam Miqat, Qarn Al-Manazil Miqat in Al-Sail Al-Kabeer, and Wadi Muharram Miqat. Inspectors verified the availability of essential goods and compliance with regulations and instructions to ensure high-quality services for pilgrims. They also checked price clarity and the validity of commercial offers.The ministry affirmed that preventive inspection tours will continue during the coming period to ensure commercial establishments comply with regulations and instructions, contributing to the availability of goods, raising the level of commercial compliance, and providing distinguished regulatory services to pilgrims arriving to perform Hajj rituals.
