CHERY announced that its operations in the Kingdom will be managed through its subsidiary, while all after-sales services will be overseen through a network of local distributors to be established in the next phase.Mark, Vice President of CHERY Middle East, attended the event alongside members of the CHERY Saudi team. In his keynote address, Mark presented CHERY’s global vision and future strategy for the region. He emphasized the brand’s commitment to building a “healthy and sustainable society” and to “integrating technology with aesthetics,” offering a new urban mobility option for consumers who value individuality and an exceptional driving experience.CHERY’s ambitions are underpinned by its extensive global presence and robust research and development capabilities. In 2025, CHERY Group recorded global sales of 2.8 million vehicles, including 1.34 million units exported, maintaining its position as China’s leading passenger vehicle exporter for the 23rd consecutive year.Today, CHERY serves more than 20 million users across over 120 countries and regions through approximately 3,500 overseas sales outlets. Its global innovation network comprises eight R&D centers, more than 13,000 R&D professionals, and over 300 laboratories. This extensive infrastructure enables CHERY to develop technologies for global markets that address diverse climates, road conditions, and family mobility requirements. The event also showcased several of CHERY’s latest models, reflecting the brand’s continued focus on innovation and advanced design. Featured vehicles included the all-new TIGGO 9, and ARRIZO 8.Among the key technologies highlighted was CHERY Super Hybrid (CSH), a plug-in hybrid architecture engineered to combine the benefits of electric driving with the flexibility required for long-distance travel. Its fifth-generation hybrid engine delivers thermal efficiency of up to 44.5%, while the intelligent hybrid drive system automatically selects among pure electric, series hybrid, parallel hybrid, direct engine drive, and energy recovery modes according to road and battery conditions. For the relevant T9 configuration, figures presented at the event included a CLTC-rated pure-electric range of up to 130 kilometers, a combined driving range of up to 1,300 kilometers, and fuel consumption of less than 4.5 liters per 100 kilometers.Advanced battery thermal management and extensive validation testing further support reliable performance across a broad range of temperatures. These capabilities make CSH well suited to both daily urban commuting and long-distance family travel. An external power discharge function is also available to support outdoor activities and camping requirements. The event also introduced the Super Intelligent Valet Parking (SIVP) system, developed to address common parking challenges, including locating available spaces, maneuvering into narrow bays, and reaching the vehicle in hot or rainy conditions.Equipped with three millimeter-wave radars, 11 high-definition cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, and one LiDAR unit, the system integrates real-time environmental perception and standard-definition (SD) map data with an AI-powered planning algorithm and an end-to-end large model. As Saudi Arabia’s automotive market continues to expand rapidly, younger drivers are increasingly seeking vehicles that combine distinctive design, advanced technologies, and seamless digital connectivity. These priorities lie at the heart of CHERY’s new approach to strengthening and developing its brand in the Saudi market.
