Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet, in a session held today, Feb. 10, chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz, approved an agreement on the electric high-speed railway linkage between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the State of Qatar.

According to data available on Argaam, an agreement was signed last December to implement a high-speed electric passenger railway project between Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

The high-speed railway will extend over 785 kilometers, linking the capitals, Riyadh and Doha, passing through key stations like Al Hofuf and Dammam, and connecting King Salman International Airport and Hamad International Airport. The project is scheduled for completion within six years.
