MANAMA — King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa directed an immediate review of cases related to entitlement to Bahraini citizenship and ordered legal measures against those accused of betraying the nation or undermining its security and stability.During a meeting with senior officials, the King said the appropriate legal procedures would be applied accordingly.He added that the current situation remains sensitive and requires firm national responsibility and the protection of the homeland, with no tolerance for negligence or failure of duty.King Hamad said Bahrain would continue firmly in addressing the consequences of the war and recent attacks launched by Iran against the kingdom.He said Bahrain had successfully managed the current challenges through the efficiency of its defense, security and civil defense forces, the solidarity of citizens and the government’s effective management of essential services and emergency developments.The King said the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa has been tasked in the coming phase with implementing comprehensive and decisive measures.These include programs aimed at resolving any gaps identified in the defense or economic sectors.He stressed that Bahrain remains committed to supporting peaceful solutions and diplomatic efforts to resolve crises in a way that serves the interests of the peoples of the region and the wider world.
