Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Alkhorayef, said the industrial sector’s contribution to GDP reached around SAR 502 billion, while industrial exports totaled SAR 167.29 billion.
In remarks published in the ministry’s 2025 annual report, the minister said 1,660 new industrial licenses were issued, with investments amounting to SAR 76.1 billion. A total of 1,201 new factories commenced operations, backed by investments exceeding SAR 31.2 billion.
He added that the removal of expatriate levy fees for industrial establishments has supported business stability and enhanced the sector’s attractiveness.
Alkhorayef noted that the ministry continued to advance its digital services, helping reduce the time required to issue industrial licenses to 48 hours and achieve a 91.5% score on the digital transformation index. The ministry also activated an early warning system for trade protection to support fair competition and market stability.
