Shareholders of Al Sagr Cooperative Insurance Co. approved filing a liability lawsuit against Saud Al-Arifi, former chairman and current board member, and Yasser Al-Harbi, a board member and former managing director.

The decision was made during an ordinary general meeting held on June 22, according to a statement to Tadawul.

Shareholders also authorized the board of directors to take the necessary legal and regulatory actions in this regard.

According to Argaamdata, Al Sagr’s board recommended in November 2025 filing a liability lawsuit against Al-Arifi and Al-Harbi.

The proposed legal action relates to alleged violations of the company’s approved authority regulations, involving the exercise of direct or indirect executive powers during their tenure as board members and/or executive management officials.
