Acwa has received the government approval granting it the exclusive right to export green hydrogen produced in Saudi Arabia, along with its derivatives—including green ammonia, green methanol, green methane, and fuels produced using green hydrogen—to global markets, according to a statement to Tadawul.
This comes in support of the Kingdom’s national strategic objectives.
The approval also mandates Acwa to develop projects for the generation, transmission, and export of electricity from renewable energy sources to European markets and Arab countries.
Acwa will disclose any material developments and financial impact in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.
