Arabian Contracting Services Co. (Al Arabia) said Al Arabia Alliances for Smart Advertisement, jointly owned by the company and Saudi Company for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI), a Humain subsidiary, received approval from Remat Al-Riyadh Development Co. to temporarily suspend thae minimum annual guarantee under the contract.
In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the suspension will last 90 days, from Oct. 26, 2026, to Jan. 25, 2027, to allow Remat to review the alliance’s request to address the project’s economic, financial, and operational challenges.
The company said the temporary suspension will be considered void as if it had never taken place once Remat issues its decision on the request, whether approving or rejecting it, or when the suspension period ends, whichever comes first.
The suspension does not waive amounts due during the period unless another agreement is reached with Remat, the company added.
The development relates to the contract previously signed with Remat Al-Riyadh to establish, operate, and maintain outdoor advertising billboards in Riyadh. The contract was amended through an addendum in October 2025.
The company said it will announce any material developments in due course. According to Argaam data, Al Arabia signed the contract with Remat Al-Riyadh on Oct. 25, 2023. The project covers all types of outdoor advertising at locations designated by Riyadh Municipality over a 10-year period, comprising a setup phase of up to 12 months and an investment period of nine years. The project operates under a revenue-sharing model.
In October 2025, the company announced that Al Arabia Alliances for Smart Advertisement, jointly owned by Al Arabia and Humain signed an addendum with Remat Al-Riyadh to extend the contract.
At the time, the company said the contract’s expiry date would be extended to Dec. 31, 2035, from Sept. 5, 2033.
The agreed revenue-sharing model would remain in place during the extension, with the amendment intended to address challenges faced by the investor between the original contract signing and the addendum.
