Remittances by expatriates in Saudi Arabia rose 1% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 13.5 billion in August 2026, according to the latest data from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA). 
Compared to July 2026, remittances declined 6%, or about SAR 827 million.
During the first eight months of 2026, expatriate remittances totaled around SAR 113 billion, compared with approximately SAR 111.9 billion in the same period of 2025, up around 1% YoY.

Saudi nationals’ remittances totaled around SAR 44.1 billion in the first eight months of 2026, compared with SAR 47.5 billion in the same period of 2025, down around 7%.
