Rou’a Al Haram and Malaysia’s MRCB study a SAR 21 bln mixed-use development within the King Salman Gate project in Makkah

Rou’a Al Haram signed a cooperation agreement worth nearly SAR 21 billion with Malaysia’s MRCB to study the development of a major, integrated mixed-use destination connected to the transport network within the King Salman Gate project in Makkah.

Rou’a Al Haram, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company and the master developer of the King Salman Gate project.

The agreement includes studying the development of a public bus station, along with residential, commercial, retail and mixed-use projects, enhancing the integration of transport and supporting services and facilitating the movement of pilgrims and visitors.

The partnership focuses on leveraging MRCB’s expertise in developing major mixed-use projects integrated with transport networks, including the KL Sentral project in Malaysia, while exploring an integrated framework for developing, financing and implementing the proposed project.

Rou’a Al Haram said the agreement opens a path for attracting international investment to participate in the development of the King Salman Gate project, subject to completion of due diligence, obtaining the required approvals and financing, determining implementation phases, and signing final agreements.
