Boston Consulting Group (BCG) advised Aramco on separating its gas operations to unlock more value, the sources added.

The move could attract new investment into the gas unit or potentially lead to an initial public offering (IPO) or a minority stake listing valuing the business at more than $100 billion, Bloomberg said.

According to data available with Argaam, sources recently told Reuters that Saudi Aramco plans to reorganize its business to create a new gas division.

The restructuring would shift Saudi Aramco from two main business divisions — upstream and downstream — to three divisions, with each unit headed by its own president.
