Terminal 4 at King Abdulaziz International Airport has capacity to handle up to 15 million passengers annually
Jeddah Airports Co. (JEDCo) announced the start of phased operations at Terminal 4 of King Abdulaziz International Airport, effective today, Sunday, Sept. 27, 2026, as part of plans to accommodate continued growth in passenger traffic. 
Flights operated by three international airlines will move to Terminal 4 today, namely: Wizz Air, AJet and SalamAir. Other airlines will gradually relocate in line with the terminal’s transition plan.
The phased rollout will continue throughout the coming week. On Monday, Sept. 28, Fly Jinnah flights will move from the Hajj and Umrah Terminals Complex (B3), while Nesma Airlines flights will relocate from the North Terminal. On Tuesday, Sept. 29, Akasa Air flights will move from the Hajj and Umrah Terminals Complex (B3) to Terminal 4.
On Oct. 1, SyrianAir and Pegasus flights will move from the North Terminal to Terminal 4 under the operating plan. On Oct. 3, Azerbaijan Airlines and Tunisair flights will relocate from the North Terminal, with further transfers to continue gradually in accordance with the approved operating plan.
Jeddah Airports said the reopening plan aims to relocate all foreign airlines currently operating from the North Terminal, as well as some foreign carriers operating from Terminal 1 and the Hajj and Umrah Terminals Complex, as operational requirements dictate. The move is designed to redistribute traffic across the airport’s facilities, increase capacity, and streamline travel procedures and passenger flows following the completion of operational, technical and service readiness at Terminal 4 and its facilities.
Terminal 4 spans a total area of 97,000 square meters and has capacity to handle up to 15 million passengers annually. It features advanced operating systems and modern facilities, including a dedicated facility for handling check-in procedures for groups of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah recorded its highest passenger traffic in history in 2025, handling 53.4 million passengers. The airport aims to handle more than 90 million passengers annually by 2030.
