On the other hand, the value of sales decreases in the weeks that precede the disbursement of salaries and the weeks that coincide with the start of school after holidays.

The four-week moving average stood at approximately SAR 14.6 billion. The value of POS transactions increased during 2025 compared to 2024, 2023 and 2022. The average value of sales ranged between SAR 11.5 billion and SAR 13.8 billion in 2024, while it was between SAR 10.4 billion and SAR 12.7 billion in 2023 and between SAR 9.4 billion and SAR 11.6 billion in 2022.
