JEDDAH — Most regions of Saudi Arabia are expected to receive above-average rainfall in October, with climate indicators suggesting that chances of rain will extend into November, according to the National Center for Meteorology (NCM).NCM spokesman Hussein Al-Qahtani said the outlook covers Riyadh, Makkah, Madinah, Asir, Al-Baha, Jazan, Najran, Qassim, Hail, the Eastern Province, Al-Jouf, Tabuk and the Northern Borders Region.He said the probability and amount of rainfall are expected to vary from one region to another.Al-Qahtani said the forecast is based on climate indicators monitored by the NCM, noting that the timing, geographical distribution and intensity of individual rain events will become clearer as their expected dates approach.The NCM will issue more detailed reports identifying areas likely to be affected and providing updates on expected rain events based on the latest climate and meteorological data.Al-Qahtani urged the public to follow the NCM’s official reports and weather bulletins for the latest updates.
