Public money market funds listed on Saudi Exchange (Tadawul) held about SAR 136.5 billion in assets, based on the latest available valuation for each fund, as the Capital Market Authority (CMA) moves to require fund managers to reduce their investments outside Saudi Arabia to less than 5% of net asset value.
The analysis is based on the latest fund data published on Tadawul, most of which dates to Sept. 14, with some funds valued on dates close to that.
The analysis covers funds denominated in both SAR and US dollars, with dollar-denominated assets converted into SAR.
