Gold bars
Gold prices fell in Friday’s trading as investors awaited a speech by Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh at the Jackson Hole symposium later today for clues on the outlook for monetary policy. 
Warsh’s anticipated remarks come after Federal Reserve officials expressed concerns over the trajectory of US inflation at the symposium on Thursday.
According to the CME FedWatch Tool, investors currently see a 66% probability that the Federal Reserve will leave interest rates unchanged next month.
Meanwhile, the US dollar index, which measures the greenback against a basket of six major currencies, was little changed at 99.19, and is on track for a 0.3% weekly gain.
