Saudi Arabia’s non-oil trade surplus with the GCC countries reached SAR 2.10 billion in May, down 55% year-on-year (YoY). 
Total Saudi non-oil merchandise exports and re-exports to GCC countries decreased 24% YoY to SAR 9.11 billion during May, according to data released by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
Non-oil exports during the period comprised SAR 6.11 billion in re-exports and around SAR 3 billion in national exports.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia’s merchandise imports from GCC countries declined by 6% YoY to SAR 7.1 billion in May.
The UAE accounted for the largest share of Saudi Arabia’s external trade with the GCC, with the Kingdom posting a non-oil trade surplus of about SAR 1.42 billion with the country.
