Saudi Arabia’s real gross domestic product (GDP) fell 4.8% year-on-year (YoY) in the second quarter of 2026, weighed by a 24.7% decline in oil activities, according to flash estimates released by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
Non-oil activities rose 0.6% from a year earlier, while government activities increased 0.9%, the data showed.
GASTAT has been publishing quarterly flash GDP estimates since Q3 2020 to provide timely information on the Saudi economy for policymakers and other users.
