The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Pilgrim Experience Program said Umrah visa arrivals reached 931,500 from the start of the season on 15 Dhu Al-Hijjah through the end of Muharram 1448 AH (July 12), up 22.5% from the same period a year earlier. The total number of Umrah performers arriving from outside Saudi Arabia exceeded 1.27 million.

According to statistics covering the period, 75% of overseas Umrah pilgrims entered the Kingdom through air ports, while the remaining 25% arrived via land and sea entry points, the ministry said, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Pakistan ranked first in terms of the number of arriving Umrah pilgrims, with 200,000, followed by Indonesia with 170,000, while Iraq ranked third with 130,000 pilgrims.

The ministry said the figures reflect the strong support provided by the Saudi leadership for the pilgrim service system, as well as continued coordination among government entities and ongoing enhancements to digital and operational services, aimed at improving the experience of Umrah pilgrims and visitors and raising service quality.
