Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) said it partnered with National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) to deliver its largest-ever chemicals shipment to customers in South Asia aboard the NCC Fajr chemical tanker.
SABIC said the shipment underscores its commitment to meeting customer demand and strengthening its presence in global markets, according to their post on X.
However, the company did not disclose the shipment’s size, the types of chemicals transported, or the specific South Asian countries receiving the cargo.
SABIC added that NCC Fajr is the world’s largest liquid chemical tanker.
It noted that the shipment reflects the efficiency of Saudi Arabia’s integrated logistics ecosystem and the collaboration among the Kingdom’s leading companies.
The initiative is expected to enhance the competitiveness of Saudi exports and reinforce the Kingdom’s position as a global hub for industry and logistics services.
Meanwhile, Bahri said the achievement demonstrates the strength of Saudi national capabilities and strategic partnerships capable of delivering sustainable impact.
It also reinforces the company’s role in facilitating global trade and connecting Saudi industry with international markets efficiently and reliably.
According to Bahri’s tanker fleet data, NCC Fajr has a deadweight tonnage (DWT) of approximately 81,340 metric tons and measures 227.9 meters in length and 37 meters in beam.
