HUMAIN, a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), and Cohere, a company specializing in sovereign AI, announced today a strategic collaboration in AI computing to provide dedicated infrastructure supporting the next generation of advanced AI models.
The companies will collaborate on developing enterprise AI solutions and specialized sovereign AI models, according to a statement received by Argaam.
Under the agreement, HUMAIN will allocate at least 50 megawatts of dedicated AI computing capacity to support Cohere’s next-generation foundation models, with the potential to expand capacity over the next five years in line with growing demand for computing resources.
Through the collaboration, Cohere will gain access to one of the region’s largest dedicated AI environments, featuring large-scale accelerated infrastructure designed specifically for model research and development, reinforcement learning, inference optimization, and future research initiatives.
In parallel, Cohere and HUMAIN will work to accelerate enterprise AI adoption across the region by combining Cohere’s expertise in secure enterprise AI solutions with HUMAIN’s integrated capabilities. The partnership aims to help organizations deploy trusted AI solutions that enhance productivity, knowledge management, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.
The companies will also develop sovereign AI models based on this infrastructure, including Arabic language foundation models, domain-specific customized models, and purpose-built AI models tailored to the needs of various enterprises and sectors. The collaboration will leverage the technologies, technical expertise, and intellectual property of both companies.
As demand for advanced enterprise AI solutions continues to grow, the partnership will provide a scalable framework to support future expansion, enabling the addition of new computing capabilities for emerging programs and models over time. Through this collaboration, HUMAIN and Cohere aim to strengthen the computing foundation for next-generation AI while enabling organizations to deploy secure, production-ready AI solutions designed for real-world business needs.
The companies said the initiative represents a major step toward expanding AI computing capabilities, with operations expected to begin in Q4 2027. The collaboration brings together HUMAIN’s growing AI infrastructure platform and Cohere’s expertise in developing leading AI models.
