Batic Investments and Logistics Co. announced that it was notified today by its subsidiary, Smart Cities Telecommunications and Information Technology Solutions Co. (a closed joint-stock company), that it had received an enforcement order issued by the Administrative Execution Court based on an enforceable instrument issued in favor of Al-Qassim Region Municipality (Furas Platform), for SAR 42.21 million, including VAT.
In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the claim relates to a municipal real estate investment contract (for the leasing, development, operation, and maintenance of linear, multi-level, and hydraulic smart parking facilities and parking areas in the center of Buraidah), which was terminated by the Al-Qassim Region Municipality during February 2025.
The company added that Smart Cities has taken the necessary legal action by filing a lawsuit before the Administrative Court in Buraidah seeking to cancel the invoice. The court dismissed the case, and the subsidiary appealed the ruling before the Administrative Court of Appeal in Riyadh, which upheld the judgment. The subsidiary has since filed a petition before the Supreme Court to overturn the ruling in accordance with the applicable legal procedures.
