RIYADH — Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Foreign Minister of Sweden Maria Malmer Stenergard in Riyadh on Tuesday. During the meeting, the ministers reviewed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them across various fields. They discussed regional and international developments and their security implications for countries of the region.The Swedish minister condemned the Iranian attacks and affirmed solidarity with affected countries. She underlined the necessity of restoring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to protect the global economy from the repercussions of current developments. The ministers also discussed the humanitarian situation in Gaza, Israeli ceasefire violations in Lebanon, and the importance of intensifying international efforts to halt escalation in the region to preserve regional peace and security.
