BinDawood Holding’s core systems and operations continue to run normally

BinDawood Holding Co. said it has contained a limited breach involving part of the customer order data of BinDawood Superstores, a subsidiary, through the BinDawood app BINDAWOOD.SA, according to a statement to Tadawul.

Upon discovering the incident, the company’s cybersecurity team implemented a series of security protocols and precautionary measures to address the incident, while tackling the technical glitch that led to the breach. A specialized cybersecurity firm registered with the National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) was also appointed.

The breach did not involve any financial or banking information related to customers or the company, and there is no financial or operational impact on its activities. “All operations and core systems are functioning normally, and the company has taken all necessary preventive measures and precautions to prevent the incident recurrence.”

The company has also taken the necessary regulatory measures and notified the relevant authorities in accordance with the applicable laws and instructions on personal data protection and cybersecurity.
