The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources (MIN) prequalified 17 local companies to compete for 11 mining sites in the Al-Summan crushers complex in the Eastern Province, designated for the exploitation of aggregate (gravel) resources over a total area of 9 square kilometers.
The shortlisted companies include: Shibh Al Jazira Contracting Co. (SAJCO), Gateway General Contracting Co., AlNimal Contracting Co., Abdulrahman Zayed Al-Muhatib Co., Ansab Contracting Co., Alejtiyaz Co., Abdulali Alajmi Co., and Economic Center Contracting Co.
Also included are Al-Ayuni Investment Contracting Co., Dalba Contracting Co., Western Bainoona Group, Al-Tawi Building Construction Co., Saleh Abdulaziz Al Rashed and Sons Co., Al-Mihthil Co., Al Osais Contracting Co., Solaiman Bin Saleh Al-Mohileb Co., and Alodhaib Co.
The ministry stated that eligible companies must submit financial guarantees to enter the competition, after which they may proceed to bid for the designated sites based on their selections.
The competitive process consists of several stages: a registration and application period, followed by company qualification, then the bidding phase, and finally the announcement of results and winning bidders.
The application window ran from Feb. 15 to March 6, according to the statement.
