RIYADH — The Saudi Council of Engineers has identified 684 engineers who were practicing without valid professional accreditation. These engineers were employed by 10 major contracting and project management companies operating in Riyadh, Al-Khobar, and Dammam. As a result of these violations, the council imposed fines totaling SR1.6 million. Investigations revealed that the engineers had continued working even after their professional accreditations had expired. The violations were uncovered during inspection visits conducted by council officials. The Council emphasized that maintaining valid professional accreditation is a legally binding requirement for all engineering practitioners and the establishments that employ them.
