MADINAH — A royal order has been issued appointing Sheikh Saleh bin Awad Al-Maghamsi as an imam at the Prophet’s Mosque.Al-Maghamsi was born in Madinah in 1963 and grew up in a scholarly environment that enabled him to pursue Islamic studies at an early age.He later specialized in Quranic exegesis and served for many years as imam and preacher of Quba Mosque.He is known for his calm and articulate style in interpreting the Holy Quran and for linking religious texts to contemporary issues.He has gained wide recognition inside and outside Saudi Arabia.Al-Maghamsi has presented numerous religious programs and delivered lectures focusing on Quranic reflection, the Prophet’s biography and Islamic values.He has also participated in Islamic conferences and seminars and addressed intellectual and religious topics, with emphasis on moderation and balance.He is recognized for presenting Islamic sciences in a simplified manner while maintaining scholarly depth and accuracy.
