The 2026 budget sets out key objectives for the year, including the Saudi communications and technology market reaching SAR 199 billion by year-end. 
The targets include the establishment of two new unicorn companies in the Saudi market by the end of 2026.
In the health sector, plans call for the construction of six hospitals with a total capacity of 1,100 beds, located in Hail, Khamis Mushayt, Al-Laith, Anak, Al-Jamoum, and Unaizah, aimed at enhancing healthcare services.
The budget also seeks to support over 100,000 beneficiaries of housing programs, with subsidized mortgages for low-income groups accounting for 35% of total supported contracts, and provide housing assistance to 20,000 families from the most needy segments under the Developmental Housing Program.
Saudi Arabia plans to implement the first phase of Riyadh Metro Line 7, extending from the Diriyah Gate project in the north to the Qiddiya project in the southwest.
The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources aims to create over 11,000 jobs for national talent in the industrial and mining sectors, increasing total sector employment to 286,000 jobs by the end of 2026.
The Ministry of Energy targets raising natural gas production capacity by 7%, optimizing and expanding the Kingdom’s oil and gas reserves, and adding 7.5 trillion standard cubic feet of crude gas.
