Khalid Al-Falih,Minister of Investment
Minister of Investment, Khalid Al-Falih affirmed that Saudi Arabia’s participation in the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos stems from its position as one of the top 20 economies in the world and as a global leader in the energy sector. This participation also reflects the high esteem it enjoys among Arab and Islamic countries, as well as the global community.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al-Falih said that the Kingdom’s participation in this forum embodies two important aspects of Vision 2030: first, Saudi Arabia’s orientation towards positive interaction with countries around the world to enhance the resilience, growth, and sustainability of the global economy; and second, the Kingdom’s view of developing and attracting investments as a key element and cornerstone for achieving comprehensive development goals.
He added that the ‘Saudi House’ event, which will accompany the Saudi delegation’s participation in the annual meeting of the WEF in Davos, will be an opportunity to introduce visitors to the transformation journey that the Kingdom is undergoing, in addition to showcasing investment opportunities available in various vital sectors in the Kingdom.
Al-Falih indicated that the Kingdom’s presence and active participation in Davos provide an opportunity to meet with major investors in many economic sectors that the Kingdom pays special attention to developing.
The Minister of Investment stated that the Kingdom’s participation in this WEF represents an opportunity to highlight the reasons that make it a competitive and attractive environment open to business and investment, and an appropriate opportunity to direct investors’ investments towards it.
