The General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) recently issued its 2023 Agricultural Statistics Report, outlining the self-sufficiency ratio (SSR) for key agricultural products.

Shrimps recorded the highest self-sufficiency rate among animal products at 147% in 2023. Dairy products followed at 129%, while the rate for fish stood at 48% for the same year.
