The Minister of Transport and Logistics Services and Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), Saleh Al-Jasser, revealed that the new Jazan Airport project achieved a 70% completion rate.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Al-Jasser said the new airport will enhance passenger capacity, increase flight frequencies, expand air connectivity for the Jazan region, boost air traffic, and support economic, developmental, tourism, and quality-of-life programs in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.

The minister noted that the new airport project is one of the region’s most strategic initiatives. Its design incorporates the latest international standards for facilities and systems, reflecting the rich cultural and architectural diversity of Jazan. The airport is designed to accommodate 3.6 million passengers annually through both domestic and international flights to and from the region.
