RIYADH — Coastal patrols of the Border Guard in Qunfudhah governorate in the Makkah region arrested four persons for fishing without a permit and using prohibited equipment. The Myanmar and Bangladeshi nationals were found violating the safety and security regulations governing maritime activities in the territorial waters of Saudi Arabia. Legal procedures were initiated against them in coordination with the relevant authorities. The Border Guard urged the public to comply with the regulations and instructions concerning the protection of living aquatic resources and to report any violations against the environment or wildlife by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province and 994 in the rest of the Kingdom.All reports will be treated with complete confidentiality, and the whistleblower will bear no responsibility, it said.
