The National Co. for Glass Industries (Zoujaj) said a minor fire broke out at one of its production lines at the company’s Riyadh plant.

In a statement on Tadawul, the company said the fire was contained within minutes by its safety team, with no injuries or material damage to assets. Other production lines were unaffected and operations remain ongoing.

The company estimated damages at SAR 1.3 million for repairs and around SAR 2.9 million in lost production, with the affected line expected to be offline for up to two months.

Zoujaj said it has initiated the necessary procedures with insurers and will announce the date of the production line’s return once confirmed, stressing its commitment to restoring operations swiftly and implementing the required measures.
