Tariq Alshuhayeb, Supervisor of the White Land Tax and Vacant Properties Program at the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, said many requests have been received since the first day of issuing invoices, seeking additional time for development.

He told Asharq TV that the requests are reviewed in accordance with specific regulations and criteria before the relevant committees make decisions.

A specialized technical committee is responsible for assessing the value of land subject to the fee.

The committee includes real estate valuers accredited by the Saudi Authority for Accredited Valuers (TAQEEM) to examine the land’s location, the availability of services and utilities, and other factors.

According to Argaam data, the Ministry of Municipalities, represented by the White Land Tax Program, began issuing more than 60,000 white land tax invoices in Riyadh earlier this month.
