Speaking at a session during the 2026 Budget Forum, Al-Benyan stressed that spending efficiency goes beyond numbers, reflecting a culture that must permeate both government and private sectors, and highlighted the government’s strong commitment to education, evidenced by over SAR 200 billion allocated for general, higher, and vocational education.

As part of the Ministry of Education’s restructuring efforts, resources are being directed toward key areas of education quality.

Operational tasks have been assigned to Saudi Development Co. (Tatweer) to enhance financial impact on projects and improve school infrastructure and learning environments.

Over SAR 250 million was allocated for professional development of teachers, considered a cornerstone of education quality.

More than SAR 750 million was designated for curriculum development under the ministry’s restructuring project, covering modern learning elements beyond traditional methods, including activities and laboratories.

Additionally, over SAR 2 billion has been allocated to enhance digital infrastructure, which has become a key component of the education process.

Investing in education is now a strategic investment and will be a transformative sector supporting economic diversification and sustainable development, the minister added.
