WASHINGTON — US envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of Donald Trump, have cancelled a planned visit to Israel scheduled for Tuesday, Israeli media reported.According to Channel 12, the trip was called off without an explanation.The two envoys had been expected to travel to Israel for talks with officials there regarding the ongoing war with Iran.There was no immediate confirmation of the cancellation from Israeli or US authorities.Regional tensions escalated after the United States and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran on Feb. 28, killing more than 1,200 people, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile attacks targeting Israel and Gulf countries.
