US President Donald Trump said today, June 18, that America’s patience with Iran “has run out,” urging Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to continue his military campaign against Tehran.

Trump, speaking at the White House, refused to confirm whether the US would take part in Israeli strikes.

He said Iran had reached out seeking negotiations. “I may do it, or I may not, nobody knows what I am going to do,” he told reporters.

When asked about Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, Trump replied briefly, “Good luck to him.”

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth declined to say whether he had presented Trump with military options to strike Iran.

On June 17, Trump demanded Iran’s “unconditional surrender,” saying US forces fully control Iranian airspace and know where Khamenei is hiding, though he brushed off plans to target him for now.

In response, Khamenei warned the US of “irreparable damage” if it launches a strike, saying any American intervention would “100% backfire.”
