US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that he believes the US will reach a trade agreement with China, despite criticizing Beijing’s retaliatory measures in response to his tariffs on Chinese imports. 
Speaking to reporters following his decision to suspend high tariffs on most countries, Trump stated that China is interested in reaching a trade deal with the US but doesn’t know “how to proceed.”
