Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Services Group Co.’s board of directors approved, on Aug. 3, Al-Jubail Hospital project through Bawabat Al Sharq for Healthcare Co., a 100% owned subsidiary that was established for the project, at a total estimated cost of SAR 571 million.
In a statement to Tadawul, the company said that Al-Jubail Hospital will be an integrated hospital to provide healthcare services; it will have clinics in various medical specialties and a capacity of 145 beds.

The construction work of the project is expected to begin during the fourth quarter of 2025, after obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals from the relevant authorities.
The project will be funded by the company’s internal resources and by long-term Shariah-compliant loans from local banks, the statement added.
The healthcare provider further anticipated that the construction works of the project will be completed during Q4 2028 and thereafter, the testing and commissioning works for the operational requirements of the project will be started and completed in Q1 2029.
The new hospital will have an impact on the company’s financial results when it starts operating during Q2 2029 and after obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals from the relevant authorities.
As of this date, no contract has been signed with any contractor for the project, contracts for the execution of the project works will be entered into with several specialized contractors and suppliers, after obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals from the relevant authorities, the statement further indicated.
Any other material developments related to this project will be disclosed in a timely manner in accordance with the relevant regulations, the company said, noting that no related parties are included in the deal.
According to data available on Argaam, Sulaiman Al Habib signed, on May 16, 2023, a conditional investment agreement with the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY) to allocate land with an area of 115,500 square meters in Al-Dafi district, Jubail Industrial City, to construct and operate a hospital.
