The project aims to build a state-of-the-art sports stadium in the northern part of King Abdullah Park in Al-Malaz (adjacent to the existing facility) with a seating capacity of nearly 47,000 spectators.

Upon completion, the stadium will host major local and international events, most notably the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
