Mobico Group Plc announced that its Spanish subsidiary ALSA, as part of a joint venture, won an eight-year contract in Qiddiya, at a total value of €500 million (SAR 2.2 billion).

The contract, which will be implemented in partnership with a local company, includes the operation of 156 vehicles including 126 electric. The contract involves the operation of park and ride facilities and shuttle services connecting Riyadh and Qiddiya, the group said in a statement.

ALSA began operations in Saudi Arabia in October 2023, providing long-haul, intercity services across the southern region of the country, it added.
